When I watch Star Trek shows I always dream of replicators, holodecks, and computers that can scare up anything you want to see or listen to at a moment's notice. But really, the Internet we've got right now, and my decent computer and amazing phone are pretty great.
Example: I've had a song sort of in my head for years, but didn't really know who it is or what they're saying. Searches have failed because I had an important part of the lyrics wrong. I thought it was "pick me, babe" but I heard it somewhere yesterday, and it's actually "it ain't me, babe." I put an appointment in my phone to remind myself to search for it this morning.
Google search: "it ain't me babe" lyricsIt's quite easy to see from these results that it was done by Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, and The Turtles. I was kind of surprised to figure out that the version I liked was by the Turtles. I downloaded it and have it on repeat ever since, which is necessary since it's about two minutes long.
