Bagel

Bagel, originally uploaded by christopher575.

Cream cheese, capers, lox, lemon juice, roma tomatoes.

Both sides are the same, I know that's unusual for me.

I meant to put salt on it but forgot.

Why pay for internet?

Why pay for internet?, originally uploaded by christopher575.

You really can just sit outside an apartment building and use your netbook.
Unless it's raining.

New blog

Many years ago I decided I wanted to do a coffee table book about Seattle bathrooms and the businesses they're in. A city guide, but one that would center on the most important amenity of each place reviewed.

It's really easy to keep putting a project like that off because it's a huge undertaking, so I naturally kept putting it off. Yesterday after seeing Julie and Julia I decided to finally get started, in blog format. Why put off a fun project because you're worried about presenting it all at once?

I didn't really need to register a domain to do this, but I decided to anyway because I didn't want to worry later on about the URL at the blog being unavailable as a domain name if I wanted it. I wanted something short, so I grabbed SeaWC.com, which points to SeaWC.blogspot.com. I'm not on any sort of schedule, so it'll be updated when I can get to places and take pictures.

I'm well aware that the Stranger had a "best bathrooms" feature a while ago, which was making fun of a "best restaurants" feature in the Weekly the same week. I'm not out to make a big list or cover the same territory, I want to write about places and get lots of photos, and it's primarily for fun.

I'm glad to live in an age where it's so easy to do something so dorky.

The Mist

The Mist, originally uploaded by christopher575.

Whoever did this dude's makeup should take a remedial course. He looks like
he's about to put on a powdered wig and prance about to harpsichord music.

Also he looks like if Mike Patton and Henry Rollins had a kid. A kid who
liked lipstick.

Marcia Gay Harden is so great in this movie.
