The degree to which I am out
I was at a graduation party Saturday afternoon and ended up meeting a lot of people who I knew nothing about beforehand. For a moment, it occurred to me that not everyone who asked me who I was would necessarily like to learn that I was there because I am married to a relative of the graduate who also happens to be male, but I immediately realized that I don't care if they like it. I am who I am and I won't lie about it unless I feel my life may be in danger. Maybe not even then. And if there's ever a situation where someone asks me to beforehand, I just won't go at all. I don't lie, and I won't lie. If anyone ever expects me to, they can fuck right off.
And in case you're wondering, there were no issues at all, nor did I expect there to be.
