I was rereading the last entry and realized it had been a while since I posted a selfie here. I liked that outfit so much that I got a photo and even flipped it so the tank top makes sense. If you get the joke.



I really like those shorts and have no idea why I put them away in a drawer for years. I've been wearing black shorts with my tights when I walk for a long time, but I can't remember why I quit buying patterns. I think I'll look for patterns next time I have to shop for shorts.

Anyway, here's proof of life. I saw at flickr how few photos I've posted lately. It makes sense because I was already taking fewer photos during walks because I've been going to the same places for so long. And now I'm usually in the pool instead.

I trimmed my beard down a bit the next time I was in the shower after that.

Icon origins

For a long time now, I've introduced new blog icons with a post. And it's also been a very long time since I added a new one. I didn't even bother adding additional icons at Dreamwidth until I noticed recently that they had the option to import them from Livejournal. And in that process, I accidentally imported all the entries I manually posted at Dreamwidth ever since cross posting stopped working, doubling them. Oops.

But one of my favorite former LJ friends Ed messaged me a nice 575 photo today and I decided it should be my new icon. He spotted it on TV while watching the New York St. Patrick's Day Parade on TV. New York is great for 575 spottings because it has very long blocks.



What a lovely treatment on the numbers. And I love the accidental Mondrian effect.
