I saw these some excellent driftwood horses at Greg Kucera Gallery a while back and am glad I found them again some other ones on Boing Boing. See the replies for the artist whose horses I've actually seen at GKG.

Greg Kucera represents Debora Butterfield (http://www.gregkucera.com/butterfield.htm"). This woman heavily Photoshops these images and attaches pictures of real horse feet to the photo of the sculpture.

Deborah has been doing this work since the early 80s and her work is cast in bronze. Her work is so much more lyrical and gestural than Heather Jansch (whose work this is.)

There's a gallery at Stanford that has one of those horses. I heart it.
