The back row of the bus has five seats across. There was a guy in each window seat. The guy in the window seat to the right as you face them had his backpack in the second seat and his hoodie on the third seat. No way I was going to sit next to the other dude so his hoodie could have have its own seat. Fuck that.

I pushed it aside as I sat and he scoffed.

Him: If something's in your way, you can just say so, you don't have to go touching people's things.

(Now, if I'd wanted to talk to him or anyone else, I would have. But, no.)

Me: ...
Him: I mean, I don't know where your hands have been.
Me: Well, I could tell you some stories.
Him: Oh ho! Hmmm?
Me: Nothing shocking lately, really.
Him: C'mon, what's her name?
Me: Her? Never a her.
Him: ...
Me: I haven't touched one since my mom on the way out.
Him: ...

*chuckle*

what a character. he's weird about strangers touching his stuff, yet he'll leave said stuff draped all over a mass transit seat. I would have pointed out how many strangers had touched/sat in/farted on said seat in a given day. What's one more pair of hands?

It was inconsiderate of him to take up extra room like that, and it also would have likely been taken offensively if you had asked him to move it, too. A no-win. What did he expect.

LOL it's so precious when people assume you're straight.
Remind me to tell you about the "face glistening like a jelly donut from a marathon muffdive" sometime.

and spill food and place groceries. Really, who the hell expects a bus to be clean?

also I've been on enough mass transit to know children never sit their asses down anyway. They run around bugging people and fall down, bust their heads and scream for an hour when the bus makes a sharp turn or hits a bump. *shudder*

I tend to move people's shit out of my way all the time. Nobody ever tries to do anything about it though. I'm kinda mean.
