Writer's Block: Forgive and forget?

My mom's stepdad buried my grandmother even though she very clearly stated that she wanted to be cremated. I never spoke to him again. He's dead now, but I will still never forgive him. He was one of the meanest people I ever met, but I still don't understand how he could possibly ignore his wife's final wish.

That's pretty jacked. As far as my family goes, the family crest states: "Let the Deed Show" and the family motto, on my dad's side at least, was: "Forgive, but never forget."
