Sometimes I see something that I think should probably be included in my next Caturday post but then I worry that the image might bother people. Here's a current example:[Poll #1596538]
Jeez, I think you can usually tell if the cat is unhappy being "trapped", but a lot of the time I think cats view it more as play, as long as it's in moderation. Cats like to explore and it seems like more often than not when they get stuck in these silly situations they're more like "huh, well this is interesting" than GAAHHH OMG WTF IM DYING. The kitten in the first pic looks mildly annoyed but is clearly not suffering and I'm sure it wasn't in that sock for more than a minute or two, just long enough to get a lulzy pic. The second one is hilarious, I'm sure the cat crawled into the sleeve by itself, and the other cat is obviously just playing.
I think if you have cats, you know that they are fine and they tend to seek out such uncomfortable-looking positions. So it may make people who don't have cats uncomfortable. But the rest of us know that cats like to be uncomfortable because they are crazy and adorable.
A friend's cat likes to crawl into arm holes just like in that bottom picture. And then get "stuck". He does it a lot. It's hilarious. LOL
Who *hasn't* done something slightly bullying to their cats for laughs? As long as it just annoys them and doesn't hurt them and you don't do it too often they don't hate you. They get back at you by destroying things you own and covering you and everything in the house in a light dusting of cat hair. And peeing outside the litter box occasionally. They have ways of evening the score, don't worry!
