Garrett was shocked that I didn't post today

So here I am, posting. This is the busy time of the quarter for me at work, and it's extra busy because of the days we were out for Christmas. Luckily, my day off for New Years' is the following Monday; I'm thankful for this because that gives us a full week of full days to slog through all our work. 

Except today.

I got to work and the tool I needed to use most was down, and stayed down for 3.5 hours, wiping out nearly half my time today. Oh well.

Anyway, that's why I wasn't on Google Talk today, and I probably won't be for a while.

Garrett rules. We decided that, since we don't use our hall closet for anything but junk, we should make it into the cat bathroom and reclaim the back bathroom they've been using. That way we can close them out of our rooms and they'll still have access to their box and food and water. He's already got it set up! The door stays a bit open so they can get it and out, and it's nice and dark and private in there. It's only been available for a couple of hours and one of them has already used it.

Oooh, I wanted to do that for our new kitters but we have no other storage space except for that closet. I even had the idea of taking the door off the hinges and putting a curtain over the doorway so we wouldn't have to have a half-open closet all the time.

But we are going to try to toilet train him first, which should be hilarious.

I had some friends in college who owned a "party" house, and there was a bathroom in the basement, but they were using the toilet for a litter box. It was the first time I had encountered that in person.
