Yeah, known them for a while now.

In the epic Christgate or whatever it's getting called, I take the stance of "Ignore the opinions others have of you if you don't agree with why they have those opinions in the first place", and feel pretty neutral on the whole thing. I wasn't ready, and don't think I'll ever be ready, to stop being friends with someone because their opinion or beliefs aren't the same as mine. Live and let live, I guess.

But eh, now i'm defending myself, and I suspect I don't have to, especially to you ;)

I believe in living and letting live, which is why I was taken aback by her gleeful no vote on Ref 71. She's like, "It doesn't mean we can't still be friends," which I think is kinda lame. It's simply not friendly to vote away someone's rights, and even if you decide to do it, you're perfectly able to keep your vote to yourself.

She had some decent reasons, and some really bad reasons. But, I agree with you about not needing to voice her vote. On the other hand, she was sort of "asked", wasn't she?

I respect her ability to be honest when it's unpopular, but not everything that happened after.

I also suspect it was intended to "stir shit up" which was less than tasteful.

In the end, like minds will end up drawn closer, and people who are supposed to hate each other will end up farther apart.

It seems natural progression, and I was surprised at the coexistence from the get go. I always sort of wondered why things hadn't blown up already once I met everyone, but I guess people don't want to hurt feelings?

She wasn't asked, she did a little update post and announced it there like it was part of a little "here's what happened this week" sort of thing. Guess she had something to prove.
