Golden Snooze

christopher575I typically watch a little bit of a movie or show via Netflix Instant once I get into bed. I can be very sleepy on the couch in the living room, but getting up and heading to bed will always wake me up a bit. I noticed that Stephen King's Golden Years was available, so I decided to give it a shot. I remember when it was playing, they advertised it constantly, but I didn't know anything about it since the ads just showed a clock. But they showed the ads a lot. Like, a lot lot.
Man, they really can afford to be boring when they're making a miniseries. They don't have to edit down nearly as much as they would if it were a movie, and you can tell they want to leave in as much as possible. I swear, I'm barely an hour into it and almost nothing has happened.
I'm not even at the end of episode 1 after five or so nights, and there are seven total episodes. I might have to give up.
Anyone ever see it? Is anything interesting going to happen?
