If you don't know the difference between "of" and "have", you shouldn't make more in a year than many small countries do.

There have been a lot of stories about people sleepwalking, urinating on cops, and otherwise getting themselves in trouble because of it. Irene McGee went nuts buying facial care products because of it. Yup, that Irene McGee.

I am thankful for [livejournal.com profile] patosa, the greatest hag who ever lived. She watches Star Trek: Voyager with me, even though she hated the first two seasons. She likes vietnamese food. She has mysterious mind-control powers when at a dance club. And she did a crapload of my laundry yesterday when I went to work.

I am thankful for [livejournal.com profile] badrobot68, the wind-up wizard. We haven't even known each other a year, but we've already watched more horror movies together than I probably ever watched with my best friend in high school in the four years we spent together there. (He was there a little bit longer.) And what a trooper he is! I spilled an entire latte on his pants and he didn't even have to go home and change before hitting the club.

I am thankful for Kyle. He's a clever troublemaker and something interesting is guaranteed to happen wherever we may go.

And I'm thankful for, and very excited to see, my partner Jackson, who's arriving this afternoon and whisking me away to Victoria tomorrow. I love him and am happy we are spending the holiday together. We've been together just shy of a decade, but I can't say like it feels anywhere near that long.

From the sidewalk around the corner from my place, I was able to see my fire escape, and pointed it out to a friend. I said that when it's nice out I like to sit out there. She asked, "Why would you go out there? You don't smoke." I guess smoking is the only reason to go outside. Who needs fresh air, sunlight, and a nice view?

Shhhhhhhh

Jackson is asleep right behind me, so I'm trying to be as quiet as possible. I wanted some wine but didn't want to shake the bed when I got a refill, so I poured myself a really big glass of it. I may be a wino, but I'm a considerate wino.
