Normally I leave work at 9:15 and get home at 10:30. Today I left work at 8:09, stood in the snow for two hours (the bus finally came at 10:05), and finally got home at 11:01. The roads around the airport weren't even so bad, but since my route originates in Federal Way I have to imagine it got worse further South.
I arrived home to find a polite rejection letter from the company I interviewed with for that graveyard shift job. It's nice to finally have some closure on that, I've had a bad feeling ever since I left the follow-up interview six nights ago.
Now that I'm here, I can enjoy the things that weren't available when I stood outside in the cold: heat, a bathroom, food, and cheap red wine. It's good to be home.
