I just went to the new Daiso at Westlake Center and was quite impressed. It's like an upscale dollar store, or if the housewares section at Uwajimaya was expanded a great deal. Most items I saw were a dollar or two, and the most expensive thing I saw was $5. I bought a really nice set of precision screwdrivers to try to open that shower radio with, but still can't get the damn thing open. I also bought some clamps to use in case I end up putting the rug Jackson gave me on the wall. I was originally planning to hang it, but he has his heart set on it being on the floor, plus I don't want to displace the current artwork above my couch. I'll give it a go as a rug, but you can see below that it's quite nice, and the dark patches in the carpet indicate that my floor isn't the safest place for it.
