This morning I had a dream about a theme party thrown by [profile] dieszy. It was in a huge salon which had been decorated to look like a high school, and the theme was that we were there for our high school reunion but that there was going to be time travel involved. Specifically, problems with time travel. [profile] nancypants107 was a hired extra, there to play someone else's double from another period in time. I ran into her in a hallway right after running into the person she was hired to play. Then I found a pair of shorts with a keyboard on them and a warning (from the future!) that a co-worker of mine shouldn't try to open a club in a certain area, so then I was supposed to try to find him and stop him.

Eventually it was just me and Nancy in a huge loft apartment, and we found out that it wasn't just a party theme, but someone actually had a weapon that was designed to unravel time's perfection. The longer it was allowed to run, the worse the events that would unfold. Missiles were circling the building before I finally woke up.

There was also a sequence in a movie theater but I can't remember what happened.

It's also worth noting that [profile] dieszy even had a huge neon sign made to hang outside the party of the logo that was on the flyer. I wish I could remember the name of the party.

Brrrrrrinnnngggggg
Me: <name of employer> this is Christopher.
Her: (long, long pause) Uh, I'm sorry, what was that?
Me: <n a m e  o f  e m p l o y e r> this is Christopher. How can I help you?
Her: Could you run that by me again?
Me: <Name. Of. Employer.> How may I help you?
Her: I don't really know what's going on, someone called me from this number.
Me: Did they leave a message?
Her: No.
Me: It may have been a wrong number. This is a freight forwarding company.
Her: Oh, okay.

If you can't think of anything better to do than scroll through your caller ID and call the numbers back, even though you didn't get a message and don't recognize the number, you really need to knit or something. And if you insist on calling every number you can find, the least you could do is LISTEN.
