Dear Hollywood,

I'm extremely excited about the upcoming Transformers and Voltron movies, and TMNT was #1 at the box office this weekend. Now is the time to think long and hard about which cartoons from the '70s and '80s would make the best live-action movies.

I'm not too excited about Underdog. I'm sure Fat Albert was unwatchable. I think someone on the set of Garfield should have objected instead of forever holding his peace. I didn't see it, but I can tell I never should.

But do as I say now and thank me later. Make a live-action movie of Jem. Create a supergroup of actresses who want to sing or musicians who want to act. Or both! Just choose carefully and it will be amazing. I don't care if they play new songs, old ones from the show, or both. Some casting suggestions:

1) Avril Lavigne would be a great Roxy.
2) Rosario Dawson could be Shana.
3) Kyle MacLachlan may be too old to be Tech Rat now, but give it some thought.
4) Jared Leto would have been a great Rio before he decided to start looking like the Misfits.
5) Britney, Christina, Jessica, Ashleeee, and Paris are all out of the question. Unless The Stingers make an appearance.
6) Alice Krige has to play Synergy or the deal is off.

I promise to see it in the theater, buy the soundtrack and the DVD, and maybe even some dolls. Please make this movie.
