I just worked a 12-hour day. With the 2 1/2 hours spent on the bus, that adds up.

Those knives are still there.

And I got a package from my dad. Inside was a Las Vegas calendar, and this:

The blurriness of my photo is why I went with the smaller pictures for this entry. I'd take another but my battery was dying as I finished up.

Here is that picture you asked for. Hope you are OK. Love, Dad

I am.

When I went to find this set of pictures on my hard drive, the names made me realize they have to be from my 21st birthday. The ones I posted earlier, now that I think about it, are from my 22nd. That shorter ponytail came off pretty quickly after, and I spent a lot of time at 22 without hair. Follow the Barry Manilow 8-track below to witness its last few moments alive as I became 21. These are scans of actual photos and do not pop larger, which I am quite sad about. If I ever come across the negatives I'll surely get better versions made.

Windows popped a little bubble in the corner of my screen a while ago, saying it needed to install some automatic updates. Didn't say what they were or anything. Normally it tells you what it's doing, lets you choose from among available ones, etc. The whole thing took a while because I don't use IE any more and it couldn't make Firefox do what it wanted, so there were even extra steps involved. When it was done it asked if I wanted to pay $129 or so to upgrade to Vista. I think the whole procedure wasn't an actual update, but a scan to see if I had the minimum requirements to run Vista.
