Why I love walking to work
Jul. 2nd, 2007 10:16 pm1) Nothing can make me late. I'm nothing if not prompt, and I always hated being at the mercy of traffic.
2) There's variety. I can change which streets I take, or cut through the park, change which path I take through the park, or even go all the way down to the waterfront.
3) I can't listen to music at work, so it's good to be able to listen to some right up until I get there. It's also nice to be able to lip-sync when (I think) nobody is watching.
4) No more bus, which became the bane of my existence when I road it for two hours a day and spent about as much time waiting for it.
5) Downtown is full of hotties, and once in a while one will catch me looking and smile back.
6) It's enough private time so that if I'm sad about something, I can cry a little and get it out before I arrive at the office.
