Jul. 16th, 2007
One time I was at a Denny's (or something like that) with
misterdoug. He asked for a side of ranch dressing, and looked very confused when they brought it out. It was one they'd poured, put a lid on, and added a label with the day it was poured, so they'd know when to throw it out if it was unused. He looked at me and asked, "What do they mean, now?"
The label actually read "MON" for Monday, but he had it upside-down.
I actually think about that quite often, but was reminded of it by this watch.

Evening tidbits
Jul. 16th, 2007 09:20 pmSomeone once posted a picture of a Sri Racha bottle at a pho place with the caption, "that is not Sri Racha." I'm beginning to wonder if that's a common practice, because when I use it at home, I never use that much, and it always burns like hell.
I hope the guy next door can't hear my music, because if he can, he's got to be really sick of "Elevator Operator" after this evening.
The stuff I bought last time at the grocery store isn't so great for making a very big meal, so I'm actually having a snack-sized one when I get home and one again a few hours later. I'm not sure if I like this routine or not.
I just started "Elevator Operator" again.
notlostonme gave me some coffee to try. I'm looking forward to tomorrow morning, when I can have it instead of the coffee-scented water we have at the office. I haven't brewed my own coffee in a while. When I do, I drink a big cup at home, and the rest out of my thermos at the office. I wonder if she misses the buttery scent of my caramel syrup.
I just started "Elevator Operator" again.
Jackson may come this weekend. He still doesn't have a ticket. Whenever this happens, I get "Fascination Street" by The Cure stuck in my head, but with "procrastination" in place of "fascination." If he comes, I'll probably skip Frankenboot. Sigh.
I think I'll try watching another one of their videos instead of watching "Elevator Operator" again. I may have to actually get their album at some point. They have a lot of tour dates, including a show in Portland. None here, though. Ah, maybe the remix wasn't the best choice for my next video. Now I've got two versions to watch over and over. Ooooh, in this live version, it looks like they're on the karaoke stage at The Cuff.
It was weird having so much time to myself this evening. I'm not lonely, but I'm not used to wondering what to do. I actually napped for a bit.
