Wait your damn turn
Jan. 8th, 2008 11:48 pmOn the way home tonight, Alan and I saw a driver who was just a little too impatient. He forgot that every intersection in Seattle is a crosswalk. There's no excuse for it when it's clearly marked, either.
And he knew it wasn't his turn. He was stopped and waiting for the guy to cross the street. I guess it just wasn't enough that the guy was walking briskly, though. He obviously should have run as fast as possible. So the driver honked his horn at him toward the end.
I ran toward the car, both hands flipping the bird, and yelled, "FUCK YOU IT IS A MOTHERFUCKING CROSSWALK!"
I'm so happy that the window was open so they heard me. The guy from the crosswalk thanked me on his way by. Alan laughed. I felt great.
Seriously, everyone who feels put out by having to wait their turn at an intersection needs to seriously fuck the fuck off. I can't say fuck enough fucking times in a fucking goddamn sentence to ex-fucking-press my true feelings about this matter.
Please notice that if you scroll back, there's a story about an asshole pedestrian from earlier today. I'm an equal opportunity hater when it comes to waiting one's turn.
