I should have posted about my dreams first thing when I woke up this morning. They seemed to go on for hours, probably because I got an MMS at 6:59, but was able to fall back asleep. In the first part, I was a CNA or something like that, and was working with a woman who had been injured in an accident. We had grown very close, but she was getting better and it was time for me to move on. We said goodbye and we both cried. She was blonde.

In another, unrelated chapter, I went to Vancouver and ran into [profile] notlostonme. She was with some guy who decided to take off as soon as she and I started talking. Then I think Vancouver may have changed to Las Vegas, and I noticed that her hair was really short. She'd gone in for a trim and the hairdresser went  a little overboard. It looked terrible, but she was able to look on the bright side, and mentioned that it was a lot easier to wash and dry.

I looked away for a moment, and looked back to find her talking to Rob Schneider, Tim Meadows, and Chris Farley. They surrounded her and tried to pin her down, and she kicked Tim Meadows in the balls. The rest of the dream was spent running and hiding from them. Weird.

I'm trying to find syrup recipes online. I save a lot of money by drinking french press coffee instead of lattes, but figured I could save even more if I could find a cheap replacement for flavored syrups. Finding recipes has been a challenge, though. There are a lot of types of syrup out there, and the kind I'm talking about seems to be the kind that the fewest people are interested in making.

During my search, the word "syrup" began to look wrong, and I remembered that I read a few weeks ago that there's a term for this phenomenon. Science is cool.

I'm not being completely forthcoming, though. I actually started out writing this entry wondering if there was a scientific term for that feeling, and had to delete the whole thing and start over when I remembered that I'd read about it.

Back to my point. I'm trying to figure out how to make homemade syrups. My guess is that it will involve water, sugar, those little flavor extract bottles, and heat. If anyone knows anything, feel free to jump in. Or make me some.

She loved blossoming trees almost as much as weeping willows.
