On my way in today, I stopped by the laundry room to see if there was anything cool, and I lucked out! I found the Urban Outfitters chandelier I always wanted. Retail price: $48. My price: FREEEEEEEEE. It may or may not actually work in this apartment, but it fits into a pretty small box so I can save it for later if it doesn't.
I think bringing it into my place was a tipping point for me. My apartment is a terrible mess and the main offender is the closet. I've outgrown a lot of clothes in the last few years but didn't really get rid of any along the way. Sure, I'm going to the gym and some of them may fit again, but how good will my old jeans really look? Time to get rid of a lot.
One of the main reasons I wanted to clean is that I have a tentative date on Wednesday, and he lives somewhere North of town. If things get frisky, I'd like the place to be a little more presentable. Not sparkling, because I also don't want to create a false first impression. I'd like to be able to make out on any surface without worry, though. Ha.
It's thirsty work, so I took a little water and internet break. Back to the cavern.
PS - I got a haircut today and it looks great. I'm having a really hard time with self portraits, though, so you'll just have to wait. This is my curse, and it's why I will never do the 365 Day project on flickr.
