I have a never-worn Burberry (like this one) that is very nice, but honestly much too nice for my taste. I'd exchange it but it came to me as a gift, but without a receipt or a way to get one (nothing shady, I promise) so I figured I'd try to do something cool with it.
They retail for $475, so I'd like to sell it for that price, pay for shipping myself, and donate $175 to the medical fund for Betsy. This would be an excellent way for me to make a better donation than I could right now while I'm on my break from work. I realize this is pretty ambitious since so many people like me are either between jobs, on furlough, or otherwise having trouble making ends meet, but it's definitely worth a shot. Betsy is one of the sweetest people I've met and I hate that this is happening to her.
If you're like me and don't want some bling, please consider making a donation of any size you can. The day I donated, it was a quarter of what I had in my checking account, which wasn't really much at all, but my hope is that there will be lots and lots of people just like me. It all adds up.
