It was too dark to go through the Union Bay Natural Area, so I decided
to try the trails and bridges on Marsh Island. It's always muddy
there, but after the driest August on record--120 years' worth!--I
figured it was time to try it. It was awesome! If you've ever wanted
to go there, today's the day.

This walk is a new record for me, both for distance and time spent.

Here's an awesome two-mile walk to take today. Parking is available by
the start/stop markers, or you can take the 43 or 44 to where the
yellow arrow points. Also, lots of buses stop on 520 at Montlake. Lots
of benches to sit on and take in the view.
