The walk from the bus to the office
Dec. 19th, 2013 05:55 amA moon so bright it's almost annoying, which makes me want to follow it until sunrise.
Every surface covered in frost, glittering in the moonlight.
Breath showing in the clear air and condensing into droplets in my beard.
Frozen gravel crackling with every step, scraping against itself in a way which doesn't even remotely resemble the way it feels to walk on the same gravel nine hours later in the sun.
An old favorite song's best part timed perfectly as I finally enter the office.
