Walks like this are one of the reasons it's great to live up here. Now that I have a car, anyway. It would be pretty much impossible to get to this place without one, and even if I could, I'd have already come so far that I wouldn't want to keep going. And it'd be extremely treacherous since so much of the road out there just drops off on the sides.

This was really nice and the best part was that I had the whole place almost completely to myself. I saw a couple pushing a stroller on the other side of the slough, a guy leaving the parking lot on a bike as I walked back in, and a girl carrying a camera and a tripod just before I got to the car.
