Years ago I started reading Mindy Kaling's book "Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?" on my Kindle. Immediately all I could think was, wow, this is nothing like I expected! I figured it would be a typical comedian's memoir but it's a bunch of short stories instead and the writing is absolutely captivating.

I got to the end and the last page had three words on it:
LIFE AFTER GOD

Turns out I accidentally opened Life After God by Douglas Coupland instead of the book I meant to. I prefer ebooks completely but reading the wrong one is a pretty tough mistake to make with a regular book.

I’ve been bummed lately because Live in Everett has to scale back operations. There will still be a blog and I’ll still be writing for them, but there won’t be a podcast or weekly video for the time being. It’s especially disappointing because Patreon money could have prevented this, but less than 1% of the people who follow them on Facebook joined up.

Of course I love the blog, but the videos and podcast episodes were highlights of my week. Especially when I was part of them.
