Back splash

I'm happy to report that after more than two and a half years, I've returned to the YMCA for the pool. You may remember that when it closed due to the pandemic, my back pain came back in a big way after just a couple of weeks of no pool exercises. So I went to physical therapy and ended up with five sets of exercises. Most weeks for the last couple of years, I got through the five groups every two weeks, doing them Monday/Wednesday/Friday along with a set of exercises for plantar fasciitis. With walks Tuesday/Thursday/Sunday and Saturday off.

The pool is so much nicer than the stuff I can do at home on the floor, and I'm so happy to be a member again. This time, we both are! Garrett got us a couple's membership, which comes with a nice discount. He hasn't been yet because he's been getting lots of tattoo work done, and now I need to take a break after my first three visits back because I have a new one as well. No photo to share yet because it's shiny and swollen, but I love how it came out and am excited to finally have it done.

That makes two off my to-do list this week, and the other is a tattoo I didn't get. Garrett forgot that I had the Snakes on a Plane logo on my list and came home with it. That's fine, though. It came out great and I have a very long list to get through. 15, to be precise, and I've done 38. A couple of people recently said that number seemed kind of low, but I pointed out that I count my entire back as a one, and my entire arm as another. 38's my favorite number, so this is a fun milestone.

The count may go down at some point. We have a plan to add billiard balls to my Shooters logo, and if we do that, it'll connect to my back tattoo and become part of it.

The bathroom renovation is coming along nicely. I'd feel much better if the floor tile would hurry up and get here, though.
