That was fast
Jan. 16th, 2024 06:04 amI met up with my friend Melissa at the Mill Creek YMCA yesterday to hand off some tangerine and lime liqueurs I made, some for her, and some for Erika, who lives even further South. We chose that specific day because the water fitness instructor who does the more challenging Wednesday class here in Everett is there on Mondays.
I mentioned to that instructor that I had applied for the Tuesday/Thursday opening in Everett and she said she was pretty sure a couple of people had been hired already, but it might be possible to teach classes at other locations. Later on in the afternoon, I got an email regarding my application saying they could pass my application along to the other locations if I would like.
I said no thanks, though. Seeing as how I work full time, I'd want my home base location to be here and I could substitute elsewhere if needed once up to speed. I don't really want to pull myself to another location on a set, frequent basis. And I'd said as much in my application in the first place. So I'll probably apply the next time they need someone in Everett and am looking forward to seeing what the classes from the new people are like.
Today I learned I need to pay more attention to my work calendar as things get added and moved around. I have to miss today's class because our Monday meeting was moved to today, and I could have asked for a different time if I'd paid attention when the notification came through. I'll head over there and walk myself around the track once I've given Tuvix his morning walk.
