Yesterday after class in Mukilteo, one of my classmates told me about that facility's eGym system, and that piqued my interest. You may remember, I left a message to talk to a trainer at that location and never heard back, and in the meantime found water fitness and fell in love with it anyway. But one machine that you sign into with a fob that can set the proper weight for you and instruct you and keep track of your progress sounds so much better than figuring out a whole routine on top of learning to use regular weights or machines safely.

That location isn't just the only YMCA with the machine around, it's the only gym in the state that has one. So hopefully it won't be too hard to get a reservation. I'm kind of kicking myself this morning for not stopping at the front desk to ask about it on the way out of class. But I hadn't had time to really think about it yet.

I'm not going to Mukilteo on Tuesday because I'm getting my teeth cleaned, so I thought it would be smart to see if I can be set up to use the system before class on Thursday. The options are to call a number or to talk to the front desk, so I'll just stop by today. That required a little planning, times are estimates of course:

15 minutes to drive to Mukilteo YMCA
15 minutes to talk to them about eGym
15 minutes to drive from there to WinCo for my weekly veg stockup*
20 minutes for that shopping
10 minutes to drive to Everett YMCA

I'd like to arrive at 7:15 as class starts at 7:45, so I'll leave at 6:00. I'm pretty good at this. Recently I managed to hit Lowe's to pick up our new kitchen faucet as well as WinCo--both about as far from the YMCA but in opposite directions--and arrive two minutes before my goal time. And of course it's never really that big a deal because I pad my arrival to my workout so much. What can I say? It's a great place to be, so even if I'm way early today, I'll be that much happier.

*Baby carrots, celery, and grape/cherry tomatoes, I eat them along with Grillo's pickles with every breakfast and almost every lunch.
