Can't spell "snow" without "no"
Feb. 5th, 2025 10:47 amWhenever it snows in Western Washington, it's pure chaos. We typically don't get much, when we get any it doesn't last long, but while it's here we're screwed because we're just not set up for it. People in big flat places just don't have a frame of reference.
It's now day three of morning snow here, and I haven't gotten to teach all week. I'm especially bummed about today because I was supposed to sub for my mentor Connie in Marysville, where I got my start. I even ran into some people who frequent her classes at a grocery store recently and they said they missed me. I told them I'd be subbing soon, but now that's not happening. Missing Monday also sucked because my class in Mill Creek was canceled last week due to a pool temperature issue.
Today's morning snow was bad enough that all classes at all branches were canceled through 1pm and they might cancel more. I haven't done much of anything and should probably at least do some yoga today.
Even before the snow, the cold weather has kept me from even heading out for walks. I used to walk no matter what the weather was other than snow, but I'm finally so tired of the cold that I just don't head out in it. I think it's because I'm always so hot teaching water fitness that I don't feel like dipping back over into the other extreme.
I turned down an opportunity to sub yesterday afternoon in Mill Creek, and I could have also gone by WinCo for some stuff I want that I only get there. Kinda kicking myself for not doing it now.
