Yesterday's good work, originally uploaded by christopher575.

A nice big batch of ginger and garlic paste, frozen in convenient batches.

I thought those were cookies at first and I got jealous, then I read your post and I was still jealous but not quite as much because I am a sweets slut.

A lot of recipes call for both ginger and garlic and Aarti Sequeira suggests blending up a batch and keeping it in a jar in the fridge. I knew I'd never go through a jar fast enough to bother, but the root beer beans needed both, so I figured I'd just make a nice batch and have enough for later.

I was actually confusing one of her recipes for another yesterday so I ended up with a bit more ginger or garlic than I planned in the beans. Didn't matter, they were still really good.

Probably the first thing I'll use it for will be a marinade. Two of these with some fish sauce and lemon would be really good.
