i just find them ... stringy and they taste weird and ugh, i never buy them or use them in recipes. if i need crunch, i'd rather use carrots or water chestnuts.

I've never been a celery fan, but it doesn't taste bad to me. Just kinda tasteless. Like the white part of lettuce.
