However, a few easy steps can make it great. Throw some olive oil in a hot pan. Peel two cloves of garlic. Pour salt on them and mince them (the salt makes it easier to get off the knife). Throw the garlic into the oil. Wait a couple minutes. Pour the jar of sauce in. Add some red pepper flakes. Add some red wine. Cheap red wine. Heat it up.

So much better that way. It amazes me to think about the way I used to just open the jar and pour it on the hot pasta.

I do that all of the time and it's great! I often add some red pepper flakes too.

I add all sorts of stuff, bell pepper, onion, greek black olives, mushroom, garlic, more garlic, ground turkey sausage, wine, more wine....

I've never tried it straight outta the bottle.

we do that at our home too. Zach says to "rinse out" the jar of sauce with cheap red wine so that none of the saucy goodness goes to waste hehe

Yum! Last night we did the same! Ground turkey, garlic, onions, a shitton of mushrooms, olives and cheap chianti!

I did that! I actually put too much wine in the jar and was sad that I wasted it. But I was also using the last of a box so it probably wasn't that tragic.
