I've never lost a cardoor in a carwash, but I did get a work van stuck in one a couple of years ago.

I thought I'd been so careful. Even took the ladders off the top beforehand, and measured the yellow clearance bar versus the van height before trying to go in. But the yellow clearance bar lied.

Part of the ladder rack caught, and I couldn't go forward or back. An alarm sounded, and no water started. I had to squeeeeeeeeze out the driver door, find a screwdriver, and disassemble the part of the rack that was stuck.

Fortunately, no paperwork was necessary, although the attendant called me a "dumbass". I didn't ask for my money back.

Did you see Final Destination 4? There's a good car wash scene.

And yes, I know that's not the name of the movie. But I won't call it by its actual name because it's stupid.

Exactly. I think it was one of the three tapes my parents had back in the 80s. Some Disney movie from the late 70s. Was...not good.
