I've never watched much Top Model, but there's a lot of damning stuff about it in this book I read (http://www.realitybitesbackbook.com/).

Yeah, it's a pretty eff-ed up show. Not that that means I haven't watched it a lot. But yeah, they really make me think being a model - or at least a reality tv model - would really really suck. Plus Tyra's totally insane and meglamaniacal.

Aha...I think Tyra may be a narcissist or an egomaniac. I don't think she has other people's wellbeing at the heart of anything she does (although she'd love for people to think that) but rather the aggrandizement of herself.

Anyway, I'm glad Toccara has a good career - she seemed like a big personality and she was gorgeous enough for film, tv or modeling. So the fact that the show denied her a place but the real world provided a lucrative career is at least nice to know - that the real world is less horrible than the world of the show!
