Queer Eye for the Straight Guy

I'm nearly done with Queer Eye, which I've been watching, in order, at night before bed. Sometimes an episode takes me three nights, sometimes just one. I really, really like the show, but I feel like their war on facial hair was pretty stupid. With just a few episodes left, I think there have been maybe four guys who were allowed to keep any beards or mustaches.

So, I made this.

I hated it from the beginning, when I saw them take a really cute scruffy guy and they turned him into some preppy nerd. They also tried to tell him what music to listen to, and what food to eat to make him more "interesting". It just made me mad.

The first two seasons were pretty great for that it was.. it was easy to tell which of the 5 had legitimate talent. Ted Allen is everywhere now, for example.

The "transformations" were pretty stellar even if you knew it wouldn't last and the whole premise of the show was superficial.

I stopped watching after the straight guys got less and less slovenly and less work needed to be done to get to the reveal. It was less about trying to teach someone that one doesn't have to be shallow to demonstrate basic presentation habits re: their appearance and it can be a way to express confidence, and more about finding a hot as fuck bro who is maybe 2 weeks overdue for a haircut and furnishing their relatively clean apartment with $20k of shit. No thanks.
