Today's haul, a photo by christopher575 on Flickr.

I've decided to finally, after wanting one my whole life, get a rock tumbler soon. But I started collecting rocks today. Also found some beach glass, lower right.

I had one when I was a kid, but it was a cheap crappy one and nothing ever happened.

That's the main reason I never got one, but I'll have a workshop soon. :)

I had one when I was a kid and loved it. My parents HATED it. I plan on getting one soon myself to polish the sunstones I got from the spectrum mine in Oregon. :)

Which brand do you have?

We have this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000066CMM/ref=redir_mdp_mobile?ref_=pe_175190_21431760_M3T1_SC_dp_4

It's more of a hobby size I guess but it works fine for fun. I got it for my son for Christmas. We leave it running in the garage for a week at a time and can't hear it upstairs.

Oops that's a mobile link. It's the Model T tumbler that goes for about $100.

Looks nice. I want to get a pretty big one because I'd like to have tons of tumbled rocks to decorate with. Like all around a fire pit, lining planters, that sort of thing. I've read that the ones that vibrate instead of spin are pretty good, too, but I haven't gotten too in-depth yet.

Ooh, yeah, that would be a big one!
