I decided a while back that one can usually assume the person was ok because otherwise why would the moment have ended up as a gif? I've only had two where I found out the person died, and I immediately removed them. One was security camera footage of a person on a mobility scooter pushing his way through elevator doors only to plunge down the shaft, and the other was three stuntmen on a boat dropping a grenade into the water but waiting too long to do it.
