Silent Duck

 Does anyone else see a silent duck when you look at the pedal and, um, gear thing that I'd know the name of if I was all into bikes?



Anyway, read this post. It's actually quite interesting.

I'm glad I haven't ditched the laptop just yet. The power went out (AGAIN) and it's kinda nice to have the light of the laptop when the room goes pitch black. There's one emergency light but it's pretty dim. Also, the modem is hooked to a backup power source, so surfing isn't interrupted during outages.

I just saw an Oil of Olay Whitening commercial, so I guess they want the women here to be whiter, too. So weird.

They just played a snippet of Rhianna's "Umbrella" song on a commercial for a compilation just now. Oof, that brings back some memories.

Now there's an Eddie Vedder song playing on VH1. I always have to wonder why lead singers do solo projects. Someone's gonna have to play the music, right?  It's some song from a movie and they just played a bit of dialogue over the music. It makes me wish I could get to YouTube to watch the NIN video for "Burn" from the Natural Born Killers soundtrack. It's so good.

I'm actually getting quite used to this laptop and wish it was mine. My computer at home is showing its age. My internet experience isn't much improved here because the connection speeds are slower, but I think if I had this computer hooked to my cable modem at home, I'd be able to breeze through pockyway with no hangups.

lol @ bike. i see what you mean... although i would never have thought of it first :) its amusing that women there want to be paler, while women here want to be darker.

The grass always being greener on the other side, eh? It also breaks my heart seeing how women with straight hair fry it to get a perm, and how women with rad curls spend an hour each morning with a flattening iron.

At least metrosexuality has brought men into the whole game. It's bad, but at least now it's bad for both genders.

Singers do solo albums, and all the members of the band help write the songs, and play the instruments. It's wacky. And then the solo albums usually suck.
