I try to be a good pedestrian, and a cautious one. And caution has saved my ass numerous times. I try to just assume that every driver on the road is an idiot who thinks it's okay to run me over, and that way I stay aware of who's out to get me.

And I see some dumb ass pedestrians when I'm driving. I hate driving in some parts of town (*cough* Inglewood *cough*) because a lot of the pedestrians just don't give a shit-- They'll walk out in front of you without a care in the world, knowing that if they get hit they can just sue you, settle, and get a $ windfall.

I agree with both this and the later wait your turn post! I see a lot of really stupid pedestrians in Ruidoso.. I don't think they teach that whole cross with the light thing to the kids there...

You'd think that being that there are only about 4 traffic lights in town it wouldn't be that much of an issue to wait ten seconds before running into the road.. But OOO nOOO ... It makes me want to be a cop in that town just to had out J-walking tickets.
