I guess my holiday flight delay wasn't so bad after all, compared to what these poor people went through.

we sat in a delta plane for over 7 hours once. and then we were all told to get off because the plane couldn't take off in the weather. it was insanity. afterwards we wrote a furious letter to delta and we were given free tickets for our next flight to anywhere but the free tickets were accompanied by a defiant letter in which they denied responsibility for any of it.

I think there should be a rule about how long people can be kept in a plane on the ground. Two hours max, or something. I knew a guy who once ate a whole bunch of Tylenol PMs hoping to sleep through a flight, and woke up 6 hours later to find they were still stuck on the ground.
