christopher575In my dream this morning, I was meeting a coworker in a hotel restaurant for breakfast. The hotel was on Menaul Boulevard in Albuquerque, but on the wrong side of the road. That is to say, it was on the side of the road where the huge private school and truck stop are, not the side where the hotels are.
In real life, she was a VP at the company I worked for from the end of 1998 until August of 2001. In the dream, we were still working together and we were meeting about a new role for me to take on. It was going to be a bit of a cut in pay, but the alternative was to lose my job.
At this point I should mention that I have no idea why I know it was supposed to be that former coworker, because in the dream, she was played by Carrie Fisher.
Anyway, the hotel restaurant was really more of a breakfast room. Very plain. Just an extension of the lobby. It was also full of other people we worked with. I can't really say why, but I thought it would be a good idea to show that I felt totally at home with her by taking off my pants and shirt. It didn't work. She got up and left without saying another word. I looked around and realized that everyone else left, too.
I was trying to figure out who I should ask if I still had a job (and how to bring it up) and woke up.
