I'm in the process of ripping my CDs. It's about time.

Anyway, I put my Nirvana "Come as You Are" single into my computer and it played and ripped as Dave Graney 'n' the Coral Snakes, I Was the Hunter and I Was the Prey. EDIT TO ADD: Those songs by that artist are on the CD. I heard them.

What the hell? I think I might have a manufacturing defect on my hands here. Crazy.

It just determines the tracks by the length of tracks, number of tracks, etc. Apparently those two must match.

No, it played the songs, too. Plus, the single should be four tracks of a few minutes each, and this album is 10 plus.

I wonder if there is some crazy fan of both bands out there that will buy this single for a FORTUNE.

It matches the ID on the disc. Some discs, particularly copied ones, have duplicate numbers based on geography. A single in Germany might have the same number as a single in America. And the one that pops up in the CDDB is the one that got entered first.

Now< I've heard of that happening before. I think it was Nirvana cd that played Teenage Fanclub. You could have something that could be worth some money.
