It's gone for real now

MillerCoorsJohnsonWaxWorldcom has stopped making Zima.

It's not really a big deal, because they changed the taste a long time ago, and I didn't care for the new formula. I bought some of the new stuff only once, but the bottle became famous because it appeared in a video you may have seen on YouTube.

I have really fond memories of Zima in its original incarnation, though. The first time I ever got drunk was on Zima. Someone on my friends list (who shall remain nameless just in case he or she wants to) introduced me to it, along with the infamous Star Wars holiday special.

I own two different Zima signs. One's a neon bottlecap and the other's a light-up bottle. I also have an inflatable bottle and a bottelcap keychain.

And a lot of memories.

I miss Sprite's evil twin.

I was playing Trivial Pursuit the other day, and the answer to a conveluted question about 90's carbonated beverages was Zima, and I got it right!

I couldnt believe I remember that drink after all the years....

I can't remember the last Zima I had. I sure remember those early days, though. Being the ONLY person at parties who'd touch the ztuff. I am convinced those Mad TV skits were about me.

I remember Zima Gold, basically an apple-zinnamon Zima, that was on the market for about zix weekz. Wow did that cause me some embarrazzment, when I took it to a party taste-untasted, and even *I* wouldn't drink it.

And of course, I remember drinking Zima with YOU. Didn't realize at the time what I had started. You have to admit though, it helped us get through Carrie Fisher SINGING the Star Wars theme.

I remember sitting on a beach in Savannah GA drinking Zima...a lot of Zima...I also projectile vomited from drinking Zima in the sun in front of roughly 700-1000 people.

Zima and I have not been friends ever since that.
