Ok fine, originally uploaded by christopher575.

I'd really to know why the squeezy things are nowhere to be found.

They are always in horridly stupid difficult to locate locations in grocery stores. I can NEVER find them.

I know where they go in the two stores I do most of my shopping for home in. There's no trace of them at Trader Joe's any more, and QFC just had lime.

I should probably try a bagel with lime at some point.

That is a lot of packaging for 4 pieces of fruit.

Limes > lemons.

If there were lime trees around here, I'd do a happy dance.

Yeah well that's the way Trader Joe's is and I don't care. :)

I go there for certain items and I'm not going to feel bad about the way they package their stuff if I happen to grab some produce there. Especially since I took the bus up there, walked home, usually fit everything in my backpack, and keep my electric bill down to about 12 dollars a month. I do what I can and am not going to feel bad about an occasional matter of convenience.

I meant to check the IGA for you today but I forgot!

They don't seem like they'd have squeezy ones to me.

It's worth a shot, they seem to have a little bit of everything.

Well now I have four lemons and they will last forever.

Oh wait, they're fruit and will rot if I don't use them. Damn!

Most places sell them singularly. Who uses 4 lemons?

Trader Joe's. They've got a small layout which doesn't lend itself to a traditional produce section. I was there for some other things and didn't feel like making a second stop somewhere else.

I applaud you and your efforts. You're certainly better than I do in those respects.

I just think Trader Joe's and other stores are silly when they wrap produce like that.

Of course, I go and get takeout in a million plastic/foil containers without a second thought...

Remove them from the plastic and put them in your fridge. Keep an eye on them so that if one goes moldy, it won't spread to the others.

And when they've been there a while make lemonade or add to your hot tea or something. Vitamin C is good for you! :)

I don't know anything about their history or anything, but it seems like they just decided not to have a high-maintenance produce section and scales at the checkout so they could be smaller while still offering interesting things. There's a little bit of plastic wrap there and a recyclable cardboard tray, but no huge rolls of plastic bags. It's a tradeoff.

Is there vitamin C in red wine? That's almost all I drink at home. ;)

I dunno, but it's got antioxidants and wine-vitamins I bet!

*guzzles box sangria*

Oh hay I just learned that the tray is compostable, not recyclable. I can take it to work and put it in the compost bin!

No, but it does have a certain anti-oxidant that boosts the efficacy of Vitamin C.

Dr Sean recommends tequila shots in between glasses of red wine. Because you wanna maximize your vitamin C. Gotta ward off scurvy.

I just had two sangiras in a row.

Should I take two tequila shots now?

I want access to compost bin. :(

For now I just give wilted veggies to a friend with a rabbit.
