Yeah, sure, part of me wanted to see a third movie in three days in the theater, but another part said whoa sonny. I'm not working so maybe I should make the most of fixed expenses like Netflix. Turns out I'm expecting four DVDs in the mail today, so just before 1pm I put some clothes on and went to check the mail.

I saw a sign yesterday saying our elevator would be off for four hours today and unfortunately they couldn't tell us which four hours. Typical, since most people who make appointments will only make four-hour window appointments these days. Well, when I went to the elevator it was off because they were working on it. So I figured I'd just walk down and get the mail and walk back up, but it hadn't arrived yet.

In case you're wondering why I'd even post about it, it's because I'm on the 7th floor.

So here it is, just after 2pm, and I'm dying to go check again, but I really don't want to go down and find that the mailman hasn't been here. It's those last couple of flights of stairs that really get ya.

I think I'll try at 2:30.

I thought this was a First World Problems entry at first.

That's totally me right now. Except for the running down stairs bit. For awhile I was buying DVDs like crazy. The other day I saw Watchmen on the shelf and considered it. Last year I probably would have, but now I'm just like... meh. I don't have that much money to burn. Save it for groceries and bills.

Netflix and Hulu are such game changers.

I've bought exactly one DVD since I joined Netflix. I really wanted to watch The Telephone and it's out of print and Netflix doesn't have it, so I bought it on eBay. I don't really need to keep things around and watch them over and over, especially now that I can have movies sent straight to my mailbox and computer.

Most of my stuff is in storage right now. So I'm not watching what I've got anyways. Why store more?
