May. 5th, 2007 09:22 amI woke up at 3:00 this morning when last night's alcohol wore off, and was unable to sleep again for over an hour. Once I did, though, I had an extremely vivid lucid dream. I was aware it was a dream and was able to make a few decisions, but didn't have control over it or anything. I was able to play along for quite some time before waking up. This repeated five or six times, so last night seemed to go on for days. Very interesting days.
One of the best parts was when I was looking at an unreal downtown Seattle from a high hill nearby. Really, the only recognizable thing was the Space Needle; the rest of the water, hills, and buildings were completely different. I noticed a very large structure off in the distance past the Space Needle and wanted to jump or fly to it. It didn't work, but when I looked back at downtown again, a dragon parade had started. Not the kind like in Chinatown where there's dudes running around under a fabric dragon, but big huge living dragons doing tricks and routines.
I hope this is a start of a new trend for me. Reality is so boring sometimes and I escape it much less often than I used to.

Date: 2007-05-09 01:01 am (UTC)Speaking of dreams, this morning I dreamed that someone from my high school used her LJ (she's on here in real life) to recruit people to beat me up. I can't remember if I got beat up or not, but actor Casey Siemaszko volunteered or actually did beat me up.
What was weird is that I woke up for a while and resumed the dream after going back to sleep.
