First cliche, they have that scene in Ratatouille and a crunchy granola mom I know was extremely offended. "OMGZ why is that in a cartoon!!! FOR KIDSS!!! SENDING THE WRONG MESSAGE!!!"

Yeah, these are all really overused. The cat/bird one pisses me off so much, especially when accompanied by a loud noise to make the movie watcher jump.
