If somebody cool sets up an explosion, they will walk away calmly (and in slow motion) while it goes off behind them. (Thanks, Alan)

If someone is thrust into a situation where they end up becoming an unlikely hero and during the course of the action discovers a bomb about to explode, they will be thrown into the air when it explodes as they run away.

If a bomb is disabled by clipping a wire, it will always happen at the last possible second, usually following an argument about which color wire should be cut.

Only two movies where that over-used cliche didn't bother me were the Abyss and Fight Club.
